Time
Time goes past,
Day by day.
The clock is ticking on.
But how am I
To use this time?
I'm sure I will go wrong.
Time with God,
More than I spend,
Should be my number one.
But often, now,
This time I waste.
Lord, help me to be strong.
And then to work,
Time that I waste.
Not working as I should.
I don't work
"As for the Lord."
God, help me to be good.
Now leisure time
Is far too big,
And often numbs my brain.
Self-gratify
Is not the way,
My heart to set aflame.
I must learn
To use my time
To glorify my God.
Spending life
In awe of Him,
As a token of my love.
Then can I face
Eternity
And know I'll use it well.
Praise and work,
Hand in hand.
There, forever, I will dwell.
